Scott Benson grew up in the shadow of the towering Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah, in the heart of the American West. As a college student, Scott graduated with major in Korean and Asian Studies at Brigham Young University. In 2001, Scott began his Immigration Law practice as an attorney with a non-profit organization in Salt Lake City. During his time there, Scott learned Spanish and represented hundreds of clients in a diverse range of immigration matters, and was very involved in community outreach efforts. Scott later went to Texas to continue his Immigration Law practice, and was associated between 2007 and 2015 with two prominent immigration law firms, respectively based in San Antonio and Houston. With extensive experience in family-based petitions, consular processing matters, waivers, removal proceedings, and employment-based (both self-petitions & employer-sponsored petitions) matters. Scott’s experience enables him to resolve a broad range of immigration issues for his clients, helping them to analyze options and quickly identify winning strategies. Scott is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Utah State Bar, and the bar of the U.S. District Court-District of Utah. He is also Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. When not at the office, Scott enjoys the great outdoors, reading history, and being with family.
